What's all the YACing about?
The Youth Advisory Committee's mission is to promote community awareness of the Youth Employment Centre (YEC), while allowing youth aged 15 - 24 to gain valuable skills, share their opinions, bring in new ideas and have fun. Volunteers get to review and revise marketing material for YEC, get involved in community projects and activities, and have public speaking and networking opportunities. Most importantly volunteers get to meet new and interesting people in a fun and exciting environment that lets them run the show!
It doesn't get much better than gaining new skills and enjoying free snacks while making a difference at the Youth Employment Centre!
To get involved, contact Jessica Pauletig or Heather Kooistra.
